McGregor, who moved into the house with his mother, Fay, revealed the former Gunners midfielder, in court, had made his life “hell”.

A report in The Sun claimed that as well as looking through the blinds in their living room, Frimpong had moved into the property with his wife and children.

After initially claiming it would only last a few weeks, the deal was reportedly extended as Frimpong’s behavior apparently became increasingly aggressive.

For example, he allegedly told his tenants: “I can come to the property whenever I want. »

Frimpong also allegedly filed a claim for “accelerated possession,” a procedure that allows a landlord to serve notice on the tenant, in an attempt to force McGregor and his mother to leave.

However, the report adds that McGregor does not believe this claim to be real and also alleges that Frimpong provided several false documents.

She told the court: “What he sent could be seen to be falsified. »

The report then claims that a subsequent hearing will be held to determine whether the aforementioned documents were authentic.

Deputy District Judge Elizabeth Boon said: “She said: ‘I was never given a copy of the energy performance certificate or the gas safety certificate.’

“If she never received this, it would mean the section 21 notice was invalid.”

McGregor and her mother went to the Citizens Advice Bureau to seek help and investigate the allegations.

Speaking outside court in Edmonton, McGregor added: “It’s a house, but it’s not a home anymore.”
