The former Arsenal star is rushed to hospital after being unconscious for ten minutes after being hit in the face with the ball during the match.

A former Arsenal player was rushed to hospital after the ball hit him in the face during a match on Saturday.

The 26-year-old was hit in the face with the ball at close range.

The incident occurred as RWD Molenbeek were beaten 3-1 at home to Charleroi in the Belgian Pro League.

Molenbeek coach Yannick Ferreira said there were fears the player had suffered a brain hemorrhage.

However, the player posted a positive update regarding his situation on Saturday evening.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide collapsed on the field following the incident and was unconscious for ten minutes.

Reine-Adélaïde posted a positive message to fans on Instagram on Saturday evening.

He wrote: “Thank you for your messages of support, more fear than harm.”

The former Lyon club of Reine-Adélaïde sent its best wishes to Reine-Adélaïde.

They wrote on X: ‘Olympique Lyonnais is with you in these difficult times.
