The former arsenal star, Wojciech Szczesny, admitted his defeat in his battle against an addiction.
The Polish goalkeeper made a return to football back last October, by signing Barcelona as a free agent after a long-term No1 injury, Marc-André Ter Stegen.
He has become a favorite of fans with the Catalans who have tasted defeat only once in 25 appearances all competitions
Fans of Barcelona were heard to sing “Szczesny Fumador” regularly, which results in “Szczesny smoker”, because of his smoking habits.
And the 35 -year -old man urged others not to follow his traces, saying to ESPN: “There are parts of the game where I think I can be a perfect example for young people or in fact, for my teammates.
“And there are things in my career that you better do not follow. In some aspects, I fail to (be an example), but I try to be the best version of myself, and I try to give my teammates a good example, to the young children who look at us.

Barcelona’s goalkeeper urged the other players not to follow his traces by smoking

Szczesny (left) has lost only one of his 25 games since he joined Barcelona in October
“But mentioning the subject of smoking, don’t follow me and don’t do it. I lost the fight. When I was very young, I created a habit that is very negative for me, and I know that it is. I’m just losing against that. So for anyone looking: don’t do what I did.
Last October, Szczesny doubled on his smoking habits when he insisted “it is the affairs of anyone else”.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, he said: “There are things that I do not change in my personal life and it is nobody if I smoke.
“I think it does not affect what I do on the field, I work twice as hard.”
“I don’t do it in front of the children because I don’t want to have a bad influence on them. Sometimes someone will take a photo of the trees where I have a cigarette, it’s on them, not on me.
“If someone thinks that I will change the way I am in my personal life, he can think again because I am who I am. I have been all my life in this way.
Szczesny was landed in hot water after smoking in the arsenal locker room after a 2-0 defeat against Southampton in 2015.
He left the Gunners later that year to join Roma on loan for two years before sealing a move to Juventus in 2017.
The veteran spent seven years in Turin and raised 252 appearances for the club, winning the Scudetto three times as well as three Italias Coppa.
Szczesny announced his retirement last August but returned to sport two months later to reach Barcelona.
