The flames will appear once again on Pacific Palisades this week while federal investigators will carry out a controlled fire test to help determine what caused the January fire which killed a dozen people and destroy thousands of houses.
Almost four months after the American alcohol, tobacco, firearm and explosives office began investigating palisades fires, the investigators will set fire to certain parts of the temescal crest path between Skull Rock and Green Peak on Tuesday evening.
The authorities believe that the fire of the palisades was detected for the first time around 10:30 am on January 7 while the strong winds sent flames running on the dry ground. According to ATF, the fire test will take place until Thursday. Investigators hope that this will help them determine the exact point of origin of Palisades Fire and how, during a massive wind storm, she ran hills in the ocean.

On February 21, Bass withdrew the Lafd Kristin Crowley as firefighters, citing Crowley’s deployment decisions before the fire as a reason. The Times reported in January that Crowley and its staff chose not to order 1,000 firefighters to stay in service for a second quarter of work on the morning of the fire, which would have doubled the number of staff. Crowley and his fire commanders said they had not retained a quarter of work because they did not have enough engines for so many firefighters.
