The first steps become heavy on Silver Surfer

Obviously, we are all interested in the next film on Marvel’s release calendar, Thunderbolt– But most of us really have our eye on July 25 and the release of The Fantastic Four: First steps. The first trailer ruled and at Cinemacon 2025, Marvel released what looked like a second trailer, and the new sequence has enormous implications.

We start in a television show called The Ted Gilbert show This sets up the introduction of the fantastic four. As Ted explains their story that enters space, we see some brief plans of each person, including one of the things (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) draw a huge boat in the port. Gilbert says that the city and the planet owe a debt to the group and that everyone wants to thank them, which they do.

At the family dinner, Reed (Pedro Pascal) and Sue (Vanessa Kirby) are late, so Johnny (Joseph Quinn) gives them a little shit on this subject. It turns out that they are late because Sue is pregnant. Johnny is ecstatic and tells Sue that she is going to be a great mother but that Reed may not be a good father. “Nothing will change,” said Sue to Reed. “We can do it.”

The meteors fill the sky, coming to the ground. Enter the silver surfer (Julia Garner), asking if they are the protectors of the earth? Reed says yes. She tells them that this planet was marked for death. Later, Reed speaks to Sue and says that it is his fault. “I extended the limits of space and they heard.” The shadow of Galactus (Ralph Ineson) begins to cover the whole city of New York,

A press conference takes place with people who ask questions to the group. “Are we safe?” We ask. “I don’t know,” replies Reed. We see him crossing mathematics on a blackboard and tell Sue that he does not give up. The surfer rises through lava. Sue says they will face it together, with the family.

In a street full of rubble, a girl is exhausted to catch her toy as a giant rock begins to focus on her. “We will protect you,” says Reed while the trailer ends.

What we find most fascinating in this film is that it is so clearly in this other multiverse – and how it will be linked to the Marvel Prime universe should be interesting. We will discover on July 25, when The Fantastic Four: First steps knocks on theaters.
