McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull and Haas have changes listed for their cars in Bahrain, because each of them seeks to maximize performance here and for the Grand Prix to come.
Ferrari aside, these will be specific circuit type updates, while the Scuderia will make changes to the SF-25 that they expect to stimulate the performance of the cars and the operating window, regardless of the place.
Bahrain Grand Prix: Inbound changes
McLaren Having a single update in Bahrain, with the team making changes to the front brake duct wings, in order to improve the passage of the air flow around assembly and modify their journey to more critical areas, such as the front of the ground and the sidepods.
Ferrari Have a more extensive pocket of components listed as new in the car presentation document, the team making large scanning changes in their floor in a response to the car behavior during pre-season tests and the opening phase of the season. This includes the overhaul of the floor fences and the attack edge of the floor tunnel (main image), while the wing of the floor edge has also been modified, because the section swept at the front of the assembly was increased in length and three practices added, rather than two.
Meanwhile, the diffuser has also been restructured, the shape of the adjusted keel section to better manage the flow rate at the rear and operate more effectively at different driving heights.
There is also a change at the rear of the car, with a new network of wings positioned around the inverted Y-Lon mounting pillar of the rear wing.
Red Bull Have a new longer agreement arrangement for their front wing, which will provide them with more scope in terms of aerodynamic configuration and equilibrium aid of the front-to-arm car.
In order to cope with the higher ambient temperatures in Bahrain, they also deployed a new cooling Louvre arrangement, which is a little larger than what we have seen so far, so that the heat generated internally by the PowerUNIT and the accessories can be more easily rejected.
Haas have also chosen to provide a more substantial rear cooling offer in Bahrain, which will see a larger rear cannon opening used if the conditions dictate that the Powerunit requires more cooling assistance.
