The first black referee of the Premier League, Uriah Rennie, opened his battle to walk again after being diagnosed with a rare condition which left him paralyzed the size.
Rennie, 65, refereed more than 300 high -flying games between 1997 and 2008, and formerly marked the official “ the most suitable ‘in world football.
But his world was upset last year when he was on vacation in Türkiye after starting to feel intense pain in the back.
Rennie was then informed by doctors that he had an inoperable neurological condition, and he revealed how he was now in a wheelchair after spending several months in the hospital.
“I spent a month on my back and four months more sitting in bed,” he told BBC News.
“They kept me in the hospital until February, they found a nodule pushing on my spine and it was a rare neurological affection, so it is not something on which they can operate.

He refused to let his diagnosis derail his plans to help his local community, revealing that he was still working in his hospital bed, and he will officially start his new position next month.
