A video of the ABIGAIL Wilson female disk golfer refusing to face a transgender opponent became viral on Friday, which made the praise of female sport rights activists.

The incident came only a few days after Fox News Digital reported that women’s shooter Stephanie Turner refused to deal with a transgender opponent during a competition in Maryland, which caused world awareness and criticism against American fences.

Wilson’s refusal to face the Trans athlete came to Nashville, Tennessee, MVP Music City Open on Friday, which is an event officially sanctioned by Disc Golf Pro Tour and the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). When her name was called to intervene to participate, she went to the Tee box, ended up with her draw and threw her arm forward, but did not drop the disc. Then she turned to explain why.

“Women must be protected in our division!” Wilson shouted at the crowd. “It’s unfair. I refuse to play! ”

Wilson then took his personal effects and moved away.

Later Friday, she shared the images of her protest in an Instagram video.

“Today, I refused to play the opening of Music City. Sport is time to speak and stand up, ”she wrote in legend.

“I took this position today because I had anxiety about playing with the openly trans player on tour due to the demonstrations planned for this year and threats of violence during the event last year. After talking with a member of the DGPT staff yesterday, they clearly indicated that they did not want to change me at a previous time with regard to my security fears on the course.

“They assured me that there would be bags of bags, police and security during the event. When I arrived this morning, there was no security or police presence, I was also allowed to enter even if I did not have my references. There was no security precaution. ”

Wilson added that she thought that the decision will end her discussion career on record.

“Today, I have probably ended my career and it’s good because it’s bigger than me.”

Fox News Digital contacted the CEO and director of the Disc Golf Pro Tour Jeff Spring to comment.

The rules of the Professional Golf Disc association indicate that transgender players who have been assigned to birth are eligible to participate in the women’s category after having undergone continuous hormone therapy for at least 24 months and by maintaining a certain level of testosterone, verified by several blood tests. The eligibility can also be obtained thanks to surgery asserted by the sexes, with the same requirements for testosterone levels after surgery.

The Trans competitor who caused Wilson’s demonstration, Natalie Ryan, first drew attention in September 2022 after winning the female division at the opening of the great distraft lakes and reached a rank as one of the five discs classified by women in the world.

Ryan identifies himself as openly transgender, according to the Instagram page of the athlete.

The Open Music City marked Ryan’s return to sport after recovering from a “very invasive surgery”, revealed the athlete in a position on Thursday.

At the Open of Music City 2024, the event had to be arrested after a terrorist threat, which was targeted on Ryan, the organization published in a press release.
