The distraught father of an 18 -year -old was killed by police in Cincinnati would have killed a police officer with his car less than 24 hours after the death of his son.
The double murder shocked the city of Ohio in the midst of the continuous concerns concerning the participation of the American Law Smart in the Letal Meetings with the citizens.
The incident began last Thursday with Ryan Hinton, 18 -year -old, who, according to the police, had seemed to point a weapon on an officer when he fled with a stolen vehicle with three other people.
Images of body cameras released by the police show a crying officer: “He has a firearm!” He has a gun! To your right! To your right! ”. The blurred and unclear images then show that Hinton coming out between two garbage dumpsters, and another officer shoots several shots, killing Hinton.
A pistol was then recovered. He had not been dismissed.
When Hinton’s family saw the images during a meeting with the police, they became upset, in particular the young man’s father.
“Ryan Hinton’s family, including Ryan’s father, was present in Reunion and they were naturally upset by watching the Bodycam video,” a statement by family lawyers said. “After the meeting with the police service, Ryan Hinton’s father left for his own vehicle and it was the last time we have heard of him until the tragic incident involved an agent of law application worked on a circulation detail near the University of Cincinnati.”
This incident occurred on Friday afternoon when a police officer – who has not yet been appointed publicly – was hit by a car while he was running traffic at an intersection.
Police identified the driver of this vehicle as the 38 -year -old’s father Rodney Hinton. He was then accused of aggravated murder. The police officer killed would not be involved in the murder of Ryan Hinton.
“This is a horrible tragedy on both sides … This family lost his son, and this policeman lost his life,” said Hinton family lawyer Michael Wright, in Cincinnati Enquirer.
