As many channel restaurants increase prices, some add value meals and special offers to attract consumers. Enter: IHOP and all his house promote the menu dedicated to $ 7 (in some places, they are only $ 6).
Paying this price for a full meal seems to be a large part of how you cut it, especially since $ 7 do not even give you a hamburger and fries in fast food chains at the moment.
However, if the meal you get for this good price is not very good, you do not really go out.
Curious to see how good the value dishes are good, I took my children to an IHOP in Long Island, New York.
I liked the pancakes in the favorite combo of breakfast, but the eggs dropped me.
Steven John
In other words, the Ihop pancakes were good. They were soft, but dense (perhaps substantial a better word?) With a rich flavor of Babeurre.
I wouldn’t say they are great – The piece of butter started on their top makes the center too pasty if it has stayed too long – but they are really worth committed.
The bacon was also quite tasty. It was clear in some pieces but not dried and always had this pleasant agitation in the thickest parts.
However, I want sunny eggs to have been cooked longer. They felt aqueous and did not look or good taste.
While my daughter went joyfully on pancakes, my son, who is completely greedy, took a look at the spread in front of us and decided that he would wait to eat until we returned home.
Cartically optimistic, I continued.
The wheelbarrow of the house was ok.
Steven John
The scrambling of Ihop’s house was decent, but it did not seem to be cooked regularly throughout. It contained a decent amount of bacon, but some bites were wet than others.
The hash bruns with which they came did not taste me and were quite dry – the potato shreds collapsed as soon as I stabbed them with my fork.
I didn’t care about the omelet.
Steven John
The ingredients of the omelette felt poorly distributed, with too much ham scattered at the top and very little mixed.
It was covered with what the IHOP menu calls a “white cheese sauce” which was a little too gelatinous for my taste. I thought that the eggs had a somewhat aqueous consistency and an artificial taste that I did not like.
I would not order it anymore.
The French-toast breakfast was our only real winner.
Steven John
Ok, now for good news: the French breakfast behind the wheel was tasty and was well worth its price – and then some.
The French toasted bread slab itself was thick and spongy, flavored with cinnamon and syrup, and garnished with powdered sugar. It was soft but not incredibly like this, and it was heavy enough to even satisfy a hungry stomach.
The scrambled eggs served with the French toast were the best eggs of the meals we tried. They seemed uniformly cooked and not exaggerated. Again, the bacon with whom he came was tasty.
I would pay $ 7 again for French breakfast and I would recommend that you do the same.
With better eggs, the favorite breakfast combo would have been good, so I would be open to try it again. There is also a chance that I have just had a bad batch of hash bruns – so I would not govern the race either.
However, I will not give this second chance omelet.
