Season three of HBO’s “The White Lotus” started with all the characteristics of a Mike White show: beautiful landscapes, wealth exhibitions and corpse viewers will pass the rest of the show trying to identify.
Tonight, we discovered who was the last victim.
It turns out that he is not only a victim – two main characters die, as well as several support characters.
Reader, beware: from there, there are major spoilers of season three.
To understand the series of events that took place in the last episode, we have a big idea and a great conversation: the title of the episode and the conversation that Chelsea and Rick have on their last dinner at the complex.
At dinner, Chelsea describes the concept of Amor Fati ” – the name of the episode – in Rick.
“It means you have to kiss your spell, good or bad,” she said. “What will be. And at this point, we are linked, so if a bad thing happens to you, it happens to me.”
“I think we are going to be together forever, right?” she asked.
“This is the plan,” he replies.

At the end of the episode, Chelsea’s words sound true.
Sritala and Jim, the owners of the complex, come back from Bangkok. Rick and Jim have a heated exchange on breakfast, in which Jim insults Rick’s mother and Rick returns in revenge mode.
Later, in a crisis of fury and despair, Rick pulls Jim in the chest. While Jim is dying in Sritala’s arms, she tells him that Jim was her father.
A shooting between Rick and the two Sritala security agents follows. Rick kills the two guards, then turns around and saw Chelsea was shot in the chest.
As he picks up his body and transports it to one of the property ponds, Gaitok – the apparently thoughtless security guard – shoots Rick in the back. Rick and Chelsea fall from the bridge and their body sinks slowly into the water.
Amor Fati, indeed.
The dramatic culmination of season three of “The White Lotus” came after viewers were installed with many pairs and trios of people who would like to injure themselves.
First of all, there was Rick, who came to the hotel with his young girlfriend, Chelsea – and with a vendetta to take revenge on Jim, the man who, according to him, killed his father years ago.
Then there is Timothy Ratliff, the patriarch of a wealthy southern family whose great financial career explodes before his eyes. He repeatedly fantasizes to commit suicide, his wife, daughter and eldest son to spare them the shame of his professional sins. At one point, he even steals the Gaitok pistol.
And of course, there is Gary. There is a threat to Belinda, a member of the hotel staff of season two who is now a hotel invited to a training rotation. Belinda discovers that Gary is wanted to question The death of his wife Tanya (which was the dramatic end of season two of the show). Gary tries to buy Belinda with a payment of $ 100,000; Belinda refuses and says that she needs time to consider the offer.
It is not the only Gary Vendetta. He is romantically involved with a woman by the name of Chloé – who is beautiful, young and capricious. After Chloé took her yacht to entertain friends for a full -moon festival that becomes scorching (and incestuous), Gary thinks that Chloé slept with one of the two sons of Ratliff, creating three potential targets for Gary.
For some characters, the season ends with a new world order.
At the end of the episode, Sritala’s two bodyguards died. His new meeting? Gaitok himself, now installed in an elegant black t-shirt, leading Sritala’s brilliant car and obtaining a hug like Hug Mook.
But as “The White Lotus” has shown, this is a show on how money allows wealthy people to move away from the world and their problems – and this season is no exception.
The Ratliff family is moving away from the station, settling in all the technologies they had sold on vacation. Timothy – Who said he was little to poison his family – swears that they will cross everything that arises.
We see Chloe flirting with a guy in a swimming pool and gesting in Gary, who wines a sneaky wink – rich and intact by his crime of season two.
And above all, we end the season with a view of the new rich in orbit “The White Lotus”. Belinda did not take back $ 100,000 from Gary – because she and her son Zion negotiated a salary of $ 5 million instead.
The season ends with Belinda and Zion, rich in blood money, literally sailing at sunset on a private speed boat.
