A 33 -year -old Oakland man died after a shootout early Saturday morning in the Oakland Uptown district.
The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. in the 18th street block 500. The police said that the shooting had occurred outside and that the victim had been taken by another person to the hospital where he died.
His name has not been published pending the notification of the closest.
Police said the victim was an Oakland resident but lived in another part of the city
Investigators have no reason for the shooting and no arrests have been made. No suspicious information has been published.
This year marks the 26 homicides of the city. Last year, at that time, the police investigated 24 homicides by the city.
