The Eagles and the Chiefs clashed in the Super Bowl Lix, but they joined forces to trade at the end of the first round Thursday evening.
The Eagles sent the 32nd and 164th choice to the Chiefs in order to acquire the 31st global selection. They used this choice to add the second Jihaad Campbell to their list.
Campbell has spent the last three years in Alabama and has finished his time with the Crimson Tide by recording 117 plated, 12 plated for loss, five bags, interception, two forced escapes and escaped recovery. Campbell has undergone surgery to repair a torn labrum, but a recent report said it would be ready for the training camp.
The Eagles re-signed Zack Baun last month, but Nakobe Dean is recovering from a knee injury so that Campbell can be able to contribute to the Eagles offer for a rehearsal of the Super Bowl.
