“The duration of the special parliamentary session may be short but it is valuable”: PM Modi – Firstpost

Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the success of India’s G20 presidency, saying India has become the voice of the Global South.

Speaking to the media before the start of the special session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that even though its duration was shorter, the session would be “huge”.

“This session of Parliament is short but over time it is huge. This is a session of historic decisions. The special thing about this session is that the journey of 75 years begins from a new destination,” the Prime Minister said.

He added, “Now while continuing our journey from a new place…we need to make the country a developed country by 2047. For this, all decisions in the coming times will be taken in the new Parliament building. »

The extraordinary session of Parliament will begin in the old Parliament building, after which it will be transferred to the new building on September 19.

Referring to this, the Prime Minister said, “Tomorrow, on Ganesh Chaturthi, we will move to the new Parliament. Lord Ganesha is also known as “Vighnaharta”, henceforth there will be no more obstacles in the development of the country… “Nirvighna roop se saare sapne saare sankalp Bharat paripoorn karega”… This session of Parliament may be short, but it has historical significance.”

He also mentioned the success of India’s G20 presidency, saying India has become the voice of the Global South.

“India will always be proud that it became the voice of the South at the G20 summit and that the African Union became a permanent member of the G20. All these are signs of a bright future for India. “YashoBhoomi”, an international convention center, was also dedicated to the country yesterday,” he said on Monday.

During his speech, the Prime Minister also spoke about the success of ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, saying that the Indian flag is now hoisted on the Moon.

“Moon mission success – Chandrayaan-3 hoisted our Tiranga, Shiv Shakti Point became a new center of inspiration, Tiranga Point fills us with pride. All over the world, when such an achievement is made, it is viewed by linking it to modernity, science and technology. When this capability is showcased to the world, several opportunities and possibilities will knock at India’s doors,” he said.
