A man was killed on Sunday morning in a car accident after turning in front of a fire truck at an intersection in Pacoima, according to the authorities.
An engine of the Los Angeles City firefighters answered a call and led south to San Fernando Road around 10:45 am when a Toyota Corolla made a left corner of Street Terra Bella in front of the fire truck, said the SGT. Jodie McGee with the Valley traffic division of the Los Angeles police department.
“A collision has occurred,” said McGee. “The driver of the vehicle, Toyota Corolla, was transported to Holy Cross, where he was declared.”
McGee said the engine firefighters had been shaken but unscathed.
The LAPD manages the investigation into the incident. Police are still trying to identify the victim, who, according to McGee, did not carry identification. He was the only person in Corolla.
