The Dodgers beat brave, make a sequence of victories of the season at 6 games – Orange County Register

Los Angeles – The parties are finished for the moment. Victory continues.

The Dodgers started the season by celebrating the world’s world attraction in Tokyo, then their own achievements at home. Without pre-match ceremony on Monday evening, they just went to work, beating the brave of Atlanta, 6-1, behind a four combined strikers of Tyler Glasnow and the enclosure of the surveys.

The Dodgers started the 6-0 season for the first time since 1981. They did not start a season with a longer victories sequence since 1955, when the Brooklyn team started 10-0.

“I have the sous on this one,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts about the fans who started singing “162-0” during the match. “I think I said it a few days ago, but we still don’t really play very well. We haven’t synchronized things. But we always find ways to win. And that’s good, our guys focus on each night and try to win a ball game.”

The Dodgers dragged at one point during four of their first five victories. Not Monday. They scored twice in the first round against the Starter des Braves, Grant Holmes (the choice of first round of the Dodgers in the 2014 draft), twice as much in the third and never followed.

Shohei Ohtani walked to start the bottom of the first round, then went up to the house on the home circuit in two points of Teoscar Hernandez, a 436 feet route in the central field.

It was just the fourth stroke in the first six games for Hernandez. But two were circuits, one double and he has already led to eight points this season.

During the third round, Mookie Betts reached a single on the ground, Hernandez pulled a walk and Michael Comforto doubled to drive in a race. Tommy Edman’s fly ball on the warning track in the central field led to another.

Holmes worked for four rounds and the dodgers welcomed the lifter of the Braves Eyyel of Los Santos with three strokes and another race in the fifth, Will Smith leading him with a simple two withdrawals.

Two of the former Dodgers MVP – Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts – each played only three of the first six games. But the support cast has intensified. Hernandez, Comforto, Edman and Smith combined to drive in 20 of the 36 dodgers points in six games.

Kiké Hernandez hit his 14th Home Run of the season, a 412 -foot trip to the left field pavilion leading to the sixth round.

“It certainly talks about depth,” said Roberts. “I think Tommy is very successful. Teo has great success with guys in a score position. Teo launched us this evening with the great success.

Obviously, we have a lot of depth. We have a lot of good players. So when you lose Freddie or Mookie, you can fill with the guys. Kiké had not played for a while and arrived, hit a circuit. So it’s really nice when you can watch the list from top to bottom and connect some guys who are certainly great. “”

Tyler Glasnow is great on the mound when he is healthy. Making his first departure since August 11, he crossed the program of the Braves without victory (0-5) – exhausted by the continuing absence of Ronald Acuña Jr. (but returning from last year’s knee injury) and the suspension of 80 games from Jorickson Profar (announced before the match on Monday).

“It was great,” said Glasnow when he returned to the mound. “It was cool in the spring of course, it’s just a little different in the regular season. It’s just nice to be at home and launching the Dodger stadium. Just the energy is unrivaled. I think I go out for the first round and grab the ball, it was like a very cool moment.”

Glasnow walked consecutive strikers to start the second round and Matt Olson to start the fourth. But he left a safe blow until Jarred Kelenic, a single -ground single in the fifth round.

Glasnow withdrew five of the first 11 Brave strikers and eight in five -sleeves aimlessly. He obtained 13 swings and missions (seven on his curve ball) and 17 other strikes called.

After missing the last two months of the regular season and all the playoffs with a elbow trampled last year, Glasnow changed “a ton of stuff” in its routine (more weighted bullets, a long launch) and a mechanical (in its hand in hand and at the corner of the spine) in its last attempt to stay healthy for a full season.

“My body feels much better,” he said. “It moves more fluid. All these small changes throughout my launch routine and handles have been very useful so far. I feel really good.

“I think that after being injured the first time that it is, you continue to play with stuff and try to repair things and I think this year is an accumulation of everything. … All this spring was all suitable for this subject and all the adjustments we made really worked.”

Jack Dreyer and Alex Vesia continued to bleach during the seventh round, but Tanner Scott abandoned a home run to Michael Harris II leading the eighth. This ended a period of 29 goalless rounds for the Braves offensive.
