Menzin resigned before the Tigers act on their plan to dismiss him for bad behavior in the workplace, according to the report. Two women who work for tigers told Athletic that Menzin had sent them photos of his genitals via Snapchat, an application on which the images are automatically deleted after their view.
The Tigers confirmed in a declaration to athletics that an investigation revealed that Menzin would have engaged in inappropriate behavior and that the team intended to dismiss him. The declaration has not confirmed the nature of the allegations.
“After being informed of allegations concerning the conduct of Sam Menzin, the club quickly finished an investigation,” the statement said. “Before the club could put an end to Mr. Menzin, he resigned. This type of behavior is contrary to our standards and has absolutely no place within our organization. We have a positive and safe culture for our colleagues and will continue to focus on respect, inclusion and professionalism.”
Menzin wrote in an athletic SMS on Friday that he had asked for a career change and moved to New York to face “family problems”. According to The Athletic, he did not respond to requests for comments from new comments on Monday. Menzin resigned from six games in the Strait season.
Two women who worked for the Tigers told Athletic that Menzin had sent them photos of his genitals dating from 2017. A third woman working in baseball but not for Tigers said that she had received photos from Menzin from her genitals around 2018-19. Women spoke to athletics anonymously.

Athletics spoke with people who confirmed that the three women had told them that they had received the photos shortly after Menzin sent them. Athletics has not identified these individuals or the nature of their roles. One of the women who worked for tigers explained to athletics why she thought that allegations did not surface earlier.
“It’s like nobody said anything because who will believe them when they say that Sam Menzin did that? It’s not like a drum boy or a security guard,” she said. “It’s Sam Menzin. …
“I always felt like I was saying that something was not an option, because who will believe you and do anything about it? It’s just that general feeling that (reporting something) was not an option.”
Menzin, 34, worked for tigers for 13 years before his resignation. He joined the team in 2012 as a baseball operations trainee under former managing director Dave Dombrowski. He was promoted Director of Baseball Operations and Professional Scouting in 2015 and promoted Deputy Managing Director in 2021.
