Sheriff’s detectives investigate the death of a toddler who was not breathed on Saturday evening in Lakeside, officials said.
The deputies and paramedical paramedics of the Lakeside fire service responded to the emergency call in a house in Camino Del Tierra off Pinehurst Drive shortly after 8:50 p.m., the first stakeholders carried out safeguarding measures on the little one, but the child died later in the hospital, said Lieutenant Patrick Fox in a press release.
No information on what led to the incident was published.
“The detectives have diligently collected evidence, question witnesses and examine the circumstances surrounding this death,” he said.
The investigation is underway. Fox said the medical examiner’s office would determine the cause of death. No other details have been published.
