The demonstrations continue at the Tesla exhibition halls in the middle of talking about Elon Musk could soon leave Doge

More than 60 demonstrations were scheduled for Saturday, and a dozen others for Sunday, in Tesla exhibition halls through the United States, while the counterpoup continues against CEO Elon Musk for its role in reducing costs at the Ministry of Effectiveness of the Government.

Only a week after more than 200 events on Tesla’s locations as part of the basic movement “Tesla Takedown”, some places doubled on Saturday while “Hands Off!” Rally locations – A day of mass organized separately from the demonstrations nationwide.

The Tesla Takedown campaign encourages Tesla drivers to sell their vehicles and their stakeholders in the company to sell their actions to injure the richest man in the world, whose wealth is mainly linked to the electric vehicle manufacturer.

More than 50 demonstrators stood outside a Tesla exhibition hall in Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC on Saturday.

Susan Barnett, a New York media professional, said she had come to Maryland for a meeting with two longtime friends and To do plea work for safe help in water and a foreign government.

“The congress must remember that in spite of what the White House says, we have an interest in the world,” Barnett told CNN.

Doge made cuts to a wide strip of Federal agencies by reducing contracts and linking employees or offering them buyouts to leave their roles. The DOGE website says it has allowed taxpayers to save $ 140 billion. (CNN could not confirm the accuracy of the figure of Doge.)

Musk recently said that demonstrators in Tesla are paid, publishing last week on his social media platform X, “who finances and organizes all these paid protests?”

Tesla did not respond to the CNN comment request.

Madeline Gupta told CNN outside the site of Tesla in Rockville that she was not paid. While holding a sign reading “democracy on the oligarchy”, Gupta said that it was concerned about political changes under the administration of President Donald Trump.

“This new administration, including Musk, which has not even been elected, is trying to destroy our democracy, and we cannot let this happen,” she said.

Tesla’s organizers believe that the campaign, which is in its eighth week, will continue to grow despite the decline in Musk and the Trump administration.

“Backing” paid demonstrators “is a deviation by admitting how musk and unpopular Doges have become,” the organizers told CNN.

Tesla shares closed $ 239.43 on Friday, a drop of more than 50% compared to their December summit. The decline followed Tesla’s announcement on Wednesday that sales plunged 13% in the first three months of 2025 – the highest drop in its history. The company said it has delivered 336,681 cars, 50,000 less than the first quarter of 2024.

Musk – The richest man in the world and the owner of Tesla, SpaceX and the social media platform X – was initially exploited for co -head Doge with the billionaire biotechnology magnate Vivek Ramaswamy, the temporary agency ending its cost reduction efforts “no later than July 4, 2026”, according to Trump.

But Ramaswamy’s time was short -lived, and the role of Musk as Doge’s face could conclude earlier than expected. Trump told journalists on Monday on Monday that “at one point, (Musk is) will go back. He wants it. ”

Musk answered on Wednesday on X that these are “false news” that he would move away from Doge in the coming weeks.

However, the administration confirmed on Wednesday that Musk should conclude its passage as Hatchet Man in Trump at the end of May or June, when its 130 days as “employee of the special government” end.

And on March 20, Musk admitted to Tesla staff in Austin, Texas, that he was “stretched quite thin. I have about 17 jobs ”. Musk also discussed the balance sheet that the counterpoup has taken on him and his electric car company.

In an interview with Bret Baier by Fox News, broadcast on March 28, Musk responded to the criticisms he obtained in Doge and addressed vandalism against Tesla.

“It is actually disadvantageous for me to be in the government, not advantageous,” said Musk about his role with Doge. “My businesses suffer because I am in government.”

“Do you think it helps sales if dealers (Tesla) are being bombed? Of course not,” Musk said.

The demonstrations in Tesla’s exhibition halls were mostly peaceful, although there were distinct relationships of vandalism in Tesla’s locations.

The Axios media correspondent, Sara Fischer, who widely covered Musk, told Jessica Dean de CNN on Saturday that he was “someone who can be bored very easily”. She said he would probably prefer to return to the private sector in the middle of the trade war and after having shone his time with Doge in victory.

“I think he” came, saw and conquered “, right?” said Fischer, a CNN media analyst. “He came, he made Doge, he cut the expenses. He will return to the private sector and call a victory. He can also somehow wipe the hands of some of these economic policies if they fall. ”
