The officials determined what killed the actor Val Kilmer.
According to the death certificate, the actor “Top Gun” died of pneumonia with underlying causes listed by acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, chronic respiratory failure and epidermoid carcinoma of the base of the language.
He also suffered from malnutrition and a tracheocutaneous fistula.
Kilmer died on April 1 and was cremated on April 7.
His daughter, Mercedes, said he had died of pneumonia.
He had received a diagnosis of throat cancer in 2015 and had lost most of his voice. The AI was used to recreate its voice for its latest role in “Top Gun: Maverick”.
It has also been bedridden in recent months.
In his 2020 memories, “I am your Huckleberry,” he wrote on his health, saying: “Reports have emerged that I was in denial. Well, denial is a funny thing. I do not deny that I had cancer but I just said that I did not do it anymore. ”
“And to be honest,” he added, “it was very difficult to kiss my original diagnosis. It was surreal. I did not believe that I was decomposed, and I was not ready to die.”
He said that he had ignored the symptoms of throat cancer and that he had to cancel a show in 2014 because he lost his voice. He had noticed a bump in his throat and then realized that he had trouble swallowing. He waited a year to obtain medical treatment.
“One night, I suddenly woken up vomiting blood that covered the bed like a scene from The godfather‚” Wrote Kilmer. He called 911 after praying.
This incident led to the fortuitous diagnosis and he finally had to have tracheotomy, chemotherapy and radiation.
He wrote in 2020 that he had been declared without cancer four years earlier.
