The daughter of Ronn Owens charged in an alleged fraud of the fatherhood of “baccalaureate”

Prosecutors in Arizona announced on Tuesday that a great jury had charged Laura Owens, the daughter of the radio icon in the region of the Bay region, Ronn Owens, on several criminal fraud counts, linked to a legal drama fueled by YouTube in which she said that she said that she said that she was on 2023.

The indictment was announced Tuesday by prosecutors in the county of Maricopa, where Owens lives on a property in Scottsdale with his 79 -year -old sick father, the former host of the KGO 810 radio, and his mother, the journalist of Vétéran Vétéran Jan Black.

The district prosecutor Rachel Mitchell said that Owens had been accused of seven chiefs of fraud, perjury, counterfeiting and falsification of evidence. The accusations arise from Owens’ request for an order from the paternity court against Echard, in which she alleged that she had fallen pregnant during a sexual meeting with him in May 2023. She then withdrew her petition after saying that she had undergone a miscarriage in November of the same year.

Owens’ paternity claims, which vehemently refused, played during a judicial hearing in June 2024 which was filled with 100 people from all over the country due to the renowned “baccalaureate” of Echard, according to the Republic of Arizona. At that time, the case had become an internet cause of famous – nicknamed “fetal attraction” by a Youtuber – while fans of “Bachelor Nation” of Echard gathered in his defense against a woman they believe to be “a pregnancy hoax”. Owens was accused at some point of having carried a pregnant pregnant prosthesis, or “Mune Bump”, to a court hearing.

David Gingras, the lawyer who represented Owens in his paternity case against Eckard, published a long declaration on his website on Wednesday in which he qualified the accusation act of “deeply concerning and more than a little confusing”. Although Gingras has recognized that he was not a criminal defense lawyer and that another lawyer would take care of Owens’ defense, he said: “Depending on what I know today, certain parts of the indictment seem to be based on fiction, not reality.”

Gingras then proposed detailed arguments against each of the criminal counts, which he shared on his website. “All I care is that Laura is treated fairly, she is authorized to present a complete and equitable defense and that her case is resolved according to the facts and the law,” he said.

In an interview in January and in average positions, Owens, who hosts a podcast with her mother, said that she had in fact become pregnant and had tests to prove it. After depositing her petition in August 2023, she admitted that she made public her paternity complaints in the tabloid the sun in order to ensure that Escard assumes responsibility. Owens also wrote about being the target of a “smear campaign”, led by “justice for Clayton Cult” online and by several content creators, which, she said, took advantage of her case.

Owens also deplored that his parents got involved in controversy because of their public support for her. Ronn Owens and Jan Black were accused of having led a “scam” to raise funds for the legal invoices of their daughter after people close to the family launched a GoFundme campaign in January to help the former media star in the Bay region to relieve the financial report associated with his “deep” health struggles. At the time, Ronn Owens revealed that he had treated four episodes of cancer, more recently colon cancer and “serious heart problems” while living with Parkinson’s disease since 2001.

“I see how it makes them upset and I worry about them,” said Laura Owens, who said that none of the $ 122,000 collected from the GoFundme campaign, was used for its legal expenses. “I am particularly worried about my father, with all the health problems he encountered.”

For his part, Echard went to Instagram on Tuesday, declaring: “Justice was finally done.”

“The nightmare is finally over,” said Echard to its 284,000 subscribers. “I am so ready to have no longer to think about it. … It’s such a weight of two years removed from my shoulders.”

The saga between Owens and Echard began in May 2023. In interviews and court documents, Echard described the Owens meeting after launching a career as a real estate agent, after his stays as competitors on “The Bachelorette” in 2021 and as a star of season 26 of “The Bachelor” in 2022. Only the sexual sex. He said he had told him that he did not want to continue a relationship and worried that she was signaling to be pregnant to stay close to him.

But Owens said that their meeting led him to become pregnant – and that Echard had come into the graphic details of their meeting in separate interviews and blog articles. After Owens deposited his petition, Echard accused him of lying and making medical documents. His lawyers also submitted examples of Owens threatening to bring history back to the press, according to the Republic of Arizona.

After a June 2024 hearing, the county judge of Maricopa, Julie Mata, is satisfied in Echard and published “a scathing decision” against Owens, claiming that she had not produced evidence that she was pregnant, as an authentic ultrasound or evidence that she had undergone a physical exam, the Republic of Arizona also reported at the time. Mata also said that Owens had changed documents, changed the results of a pregnancy test, given false testimonies and potentially parjured in what seemed to be a “serial manufacturing case”.

Mata referred to the case at the office of the district prosecutor for investigation and prosecution for potential crime. Last month, an Arizona court of appeal confirmed Mata’s decision, the Court also claiming that it “was not mistaken” in the allocation of lawyer fees to Echard.

Complete the questions for Owens was allegations of the lawyers of Echard according to which she has a scheme of falsely claiming to be pregnant by the men she comes out.

In an average post in September 2024, Owens, who said she had been diagnosed with ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder and autism, said she had already fallen pregnant by two ex-friends. The first ex-girlfriend accompanied her to Planned Parenthood of having a medical abortion, and she later accused him of becoming abusive and obtained a prohibition of domestic violence against him, she said. Owens also said that she had pursued a second ex-friendly friend for welcoming her to abortion, and she also obtained a protective order against him.
