Bill Belichick and North Carolina have an easy way to get out of their troubled relationship.
And the date to keep an eye on the end.
On June 1, the legendary football coach’s buyout clause will increase from $ 10 million to $ 1 million, which will give him a release of the first job in Chapel Hill and a much more pleasant payment to the university if he got out of TAR heels.
The acquisition was initially considered a potential path for Belichick, which is on a contract of $ 50 million over five years with UNC, to return to the NFL after having removed the last two hiring cycles.
But with all the drama surrounding Belichick and his 24 -year -old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, the 73 -year -old coach can decide that work is more difficult than it is worth it.
The couple was in the middle of a media fire storm since a viral video showed Hudson on the ground with Belichick during a UNC training last month.
Shortly after, she was spotted on the ground during spring training, Belichick and Hudson came further under the microscope after her disastrous interview “CBS Sunday Morning”, in which she interrupted her several times and prevented the coach from answering a question about how the couple met.
Earlier this month, page Six reported that Hudson would have “forced” his way in a Dunkin ‘Donuts advertisement with Belichick, broadcast during the Super Bowl 2025.
Then this week, Pablo Torre reported that Hudson had bombed a fantastic commercial set of the oppressed, making the crew film a version that presented it in a bikini by the swimming pool with Belichick.
Torre allegedly alleged that Hudson had been prohibited from Tar Heels practices, although the UNC athletics department has published a declaration contesting the complaint.
“Although Jordon Hudson is not an employee of the University or Carolina athletics, she is welcome in Carolina football facilities,” said the school. “Jordon will continue to manage all the activities related to the personal brand of coach Belichick outside his responsibilities for Caroline football and the university.”
He also said that Belichick’s family would be “extraordinarily concerned” in questions concerning Hudson and “dig” as the feeling that she could be detrimental to her inheritance.
At the end of April, TMZ reported that UNC officials were “concerned” with Hudson’s influence and that there was a “growing feeling that it could become a problem”.
Former Patriot Ted Johnson said North Carolina should consider dismissing Belichick in the middle of the saga.
