Commission appointments
The Cupertino municipal council at the end of last month took appointments at several committees and commissions of the city. The members of the council interviewed 64 candidates for 22 openings. They left a seat to the unparalleled audit committee; Vacance will be announced again.
The Arts and Culture Commission has three new members: Archana Panda, appointed to a partial mandate ending on January 30, 2027; Gurmeet Lamba, a complete mandate ending on January 30, 2029; Susan Chen, a complete term.
The pedestrian commissioner in bicycle Ilango Ganga has been renewed. Gerhard Eshelbeck was appointed to a partial mandate ending on January 30, 2027, and Munizedran Madhdhipatla, a complete mandate.
Elida Xhindi and Usha Narayan were both appointed to the housing committee on full conditions. Liyan Zhao was renamed to a complete mandate of the library commission; Chandrasekaran Sakthivel and Xiangchen Xu were appointed to full conditions.
Seema Swamy and Sheela Sreekanth were both renamed on full conditions at the Parks and Leisure Commission; Gopalakrishnan Kumarappan, a full term.
The planning commissioner Steven SCHARF has been renewed in his functions to a complete term; Santosh Rao and Tracy Kosolcharoen were appointed to full conditions.
Sashikala Begur and Ravi Kiran Singh Sapaharam were appointed to the Public Security Commission. The Sonali Padgaonkar sustainability commissioner has been renewed. Jack Carter, a full term.
In the league with the voters
Tara Martin-Milius, executive director of Sunnyvale leadership, and her co-teacher Bruce Paton should speak at a February 15 meeting of the League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale. They will explain what they are doing to succeed in this program and how it benefits the community.
The meeting, open to the public, is fixed from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the presbyterian church in Sunnyvale, 728 W. Fremont Ave., Sunnyvale. Registration is recommended at https://lwvcs.clubexpress.com.
