Ofer Kalderon returned to Israel and his cousin, Yifat, shared his excitement with Walla on Saturday morning: “The seer standing on her feet, head high, hair on his head. Every second now, he will be here, and there are simply no words to describe it.
“I received a call saying that it happened and ran to TV,” she continued.
Kalderon returned to Israeli territory with Marden Bibas, as part of the hostage agreement agreed between Israel and Hamas.
The two men went on stage in Khan Yunis, where the terrorist group presented them. They praised the crowd before being placed in vehicles and were transferred to the Israeli security forces.
The contrast to the previous incident to release hostages
Kalderon was the first to be on stage. Their release took place in front of a small group of a few dozen activists, unlike the previous phase, which saw thousands of people gather. Israeli officials had worked with mediators to prevent a rehearsal of the chaotic images of the previous exchange.
The TSAhal spokesperson confirmed that “two hostages have been restarted and are on the way to betting forces IDF and Shin inside Gaza”.
