After the young moviegoers caused an “unhappy situation” as part of a disturbing and chaotic “chicken jockey” trend during a projection of “A Minecraft Movie”, a New Jersey cinema prohibited children from seeing the film without adults.
Washington Township’s Township Theater Township, Jersey announced on Saturday that all the minors who wanted to see the film must have a parent or an adult with them after an incident on Friday evening involving a group of unleuned boys who “engaged in completely unacceptable behavior, including vandalism”.
The theater said that behavior had resulted in multiple complaints. The theater warned: “The groups of unaccompanied boys will not be admitted.”
“If your son was at the Township Theater last night, we strongly encourage you to have a conversation with him on his behavior. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, respectful and pleasant environment for all our guests,” said theater on Facebook.
“A Minecraft Movie”, based on very popular video games, opened its doors in theaters and stars Jack Black and Jason Mamoa.
