Harry Guyid is no stranger to stand out in the world of boxing. The Olympic bronze medalist, the poet and the non -conformist proud made the headlines to wear nail varnish, strut into dresses and appear on fashion tracks.
But while he is preparing for his professional boxing return on May 14, Guyid says that fans will see a different version of him.
Lilydale’s 27-year-old man in the outside northeast of Melbourne has become a familiar name for his performance in the ring and his fearless position against gender stereotypes outside.
But after a few turbulent years, Guyide says he has taken stock of what really matters to him.
“Some of the things I did out of boxing – challenge gender stereotypes, combing my nails and challenging things with fashion – it raised some eyebrows,” Gariside in News Corp.
“But that was partly the reason I also moved away from sport.”

The return of guys to the ring has been just under three years since his last professional fight, when he won the Australian title Léger in his second professional fight.
His return match will see him face Charlie Bell from Queensland to the Hordern pavilion in Sydney.
“I am back and I could not be more excited-I am ready to continue the size,” he said.
“The goal is simple: be the best version of myself inside and outside the ring, and become world champion.”
Guyide has not fought professionally since he focused on the Paris Olympic Games, where he suffered a defeat in the first round against Richard Kovacs of Hungary.
The result let him wonder if he had never been back in a ring.
“I was just embarrassed that I put myself there after having succeeded in the Tokyo Olympic Games,” he said on The Mental as Anything Podcast.
“There are times when it was like” as it is embarrassing “and this young child is valid to feel this.”

The defeat was the last setback in a two -year -old roller coaster which also saw him arrested in 2023 for domestic violence.
These accusations were then abandoned when the police examined video evidence to erase their name.
His former partner, Ash Ruscoe, was rather charged, and then admitted to assault and intimidation. The test left a brand on the guyid, which says that it forced him to grow and think.
“For me, boxing is a spiritual journey,” he said.
“The feelings that I feel in the fighting evening or the previous week – nerves, anxiety, doubts – and then face these fronts … I really hope that I can inspire people to do something that shakes them to their hearts, as boxing does for me.”
While guyid was once wearing dresses to make a point on masculinity, he now says that the chapter has ended – at least for the moment.
“You will see a different approach to me during this professional campaign-I will focus on bringing my boxing back to a good level,” he said.
“I’m just a curious guy and my beliefs change all the time. There are a lot of people who don’t like a lot of things I represent and I respect them too.

After winning bronze at the Commonwealth Games, guyid is hungry to bring his skills to a higher level
No Limit Boxing, CEO, George Rose, said that the formation of the garnish was obvious.
“Harry Garside is one of the most talented and convincing athletes in the country-and we are absolutely delighted to see him again,” he said. “There is only one Harry.
Despite his unique image, legendary coach Johnny Lewis called him once “the real matter”.
Son of a roof roof, guyide says that his work ethics just looked at his father out of the door before sunrise. “I saw this and I saw the sense of hard work,” he said.
His desire to break the stereotypes began after a foundation workshop at school at school. “These people come to school and they wear the most unique and strangest clothes … This is probably the first inspiration,” he said.
Although he has once kissed the spotlight with flamboyant fashion, Guyid now says that his goal is completely back on boxing.
“You are going to have people who love you and people who hate you, and it’s only part of the human being. And I like it.
