Jarren Duran was frank on his mental health course, and the star of the Red Sox continued to do so on a new platform.
In episode 4 of “The Clubhouse: A Year With The Red Sox” by Netflix, Duran revealed that he had tried to commit suicide during the 2022 Boston season. The legendary franchise, including the president and chief executive officer of the Sam Kennedy team, was moved by the 2024 All-Star which manifests and shares its history.
“Jarren’s decision to share his story is an act of courage that goes far beyond baseball,” said Kennedy, according to the Boston Globe.
“By opening, he shows others who may have trouble not being alone and what to ask for help is not just ok, it’s essential.
“Each member of this organization continues to stand with him. He has our deepest admiration, he has always had our total support, and we are incredibly lucky to have it as part of our team. ”

Duran was also praised by the MLB commissioner Rob Manfred.
“Providing full health health support to our players is a responsibility that Major League Baseball and all our clubs take very seriously. We congratulate Jarren Duran for sharing his story of perseverance,” said Manfred to the Globe.
“Thanks to Jarren’s courage and other players, we are able to use our platform to demonstrate the importance of awareness of mental health and communication with fans of our national hobby.”
