I am probably “Wining and Dining” of customers 70% of the time and I make the physical form of the 30% – I do the exercise with a customer approximately once a week on average. The tendency to physical form evolves fairly quickly, so I would not be surprised if it was 50/50 in a few years, especially in the United States.
The United States is a totally different beast with regard to fitness. The average business guy in France is not as much in physical shape as to London or in the United States. The culture of a person’s country is very important, but there is certainly an increase in interest in physical form in the business world – perhaps because there is a competitive element in both.
I find that I am so much more effective when I do the exercise regularly, so it helps me to perform better.
So far, it was above all motivated to me, but some of my customers and team members have started to ask me to join them in the fitness activities they do that day.
I understand that not everyone is in fitness, and I do not want to force the exercise to anyone or make someone feel bad if he does not join.
