The authorities have answers to the shocking death of Gene hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa.
The couple died of natural causes in their home in New Mexico last month, the authorities shared a press conference on March 7.
Based on surveillance images, Arakawa, 65, is said to have died on February 11. Its cause of death was judged as a hantavirus pulmonary syndrome – a severe respiratory disease which is transmitted by rodent urine, excrement and saliva – based on laboratory tests.
As for Hackman, the double winner of the Oscars, 95, died a week later, on February 18 after his heart stimulator recorded an “abnormal atrial fibrillation” or an abnormal heart rate by authorities.
Its cause of death is hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases (ASCVD) – or hardening of arteries – with Alzheimer’s disease as a significant contributory factor.
The medical investigator shared that Hackman was in an “advanced state” of Alzheimer’s – a neurodegenerative brain disorder – and “it is quite possible that it does not know that (Arakawa) was deceased”. There was no food in his stomach in his death time.
