The authorities are investigating a break -in in a historic Nike missile site in the Golden Gate national leisure area outside San Francisco.
Between the evening of March 15 and the morning of March 19, someone vandalized the magazine SF-88 Nike Missile Site in the Marin Headlands, known for its picturesque views and its hiking trails, according to the National Park Service.
The speech of hatred painted by vandals or vandals throughout the building and overthrows gallons of dangerous chemicals, said the service of the park in a press release. It is not known how many people have been involved, but officials said that the one who participated may have suffered chemical burns.
According to the Park Service, the SF-88 site was one of the nearly 300 Nike missile sites built by the American army during the Cold War and is most completely restored in the country.
“These sites have been designed to be the final line of defense against the H bomb transporting Soviet bombers who had escaped the Air Force interceptor jet plane,” said the park service.
The Golden Gate National Leisure Zone works with volunteers to preserve the site, according to the Park Service.
