Thomas Tuchel sent SMS of good luck to the players of England of Crystal Palace before visiting Selhurst Park to see them beat Ipswich.
Tuchel led the rule on players such as Ebelechi Eze, Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Dean Henderson while looking to reduce a long list of 55 before appointing his first three Squad Lions later this week.
And Henderson revealed that the German had taken the unusual measure to report his visit before kick -off.
“Thomas sent me a text before the match to say that he would watch and to wish me all the best, and it is to know that he is watching,” said the goalkeeper of the palace.
Henderson, who hopes to add to his two caps, had a solid match when his team won for the fourth time in row thanks to the deceased winner of Ismaila Sarr.
“All I can control is what I can control, which does my work for the team and present myself at great times, which I do,” said Henderson.

Ebelechi Eze was one of the many players on which Tuchel kept his eye on
“I would love to play for England this time and win a cap. I pursued it and it is one of my goals.
“I really have fun and it’s the best football I have played in the past two years.
Henderson also supported his teammate Wharton to make his way in Tuchel’s thought. The midfielder is back in the running after having performed well since his recovery of an operation of the groin.
“He’s a better player,” said Henderson. “There is no ceiling for him. He was great. He returned and he was great for us the last two games.
