The law enforcement officials found a body to Oxnard who corresponds to the description of a 13 -year -old boy who did not return home after visiting Lancaster, the authorities said.
On Sunday, Omar Omar Hernandez was missing by his family, according to the Los Angeles police service. LAPD homicide detectives took the lead on Tuesday and found information that led them to an area of interest in the city of Oxnard.
The LAPD led to a foot search in the area alongside the members of the FBI and discovered a body corresponding to the description of the disappeared adolescent, the police said. The body was found in the North Harbor Boulevard and West Gonzalez Road region near McGrath State Beach and the Santa Clara river, police announced.
The identity of the body has not been officially confirmed and the cause of the death has not yet been determined, the police said.
LAPD detectives continue to study the cause of death and identify anyone who can be involved or have information relevant to this survey.
