The third phase of the Lok Sabha elections takes place Tuesday (May 7), with voters of 93 districts in 12 States and territories of the Union which exercise their franchise.
The 25 of the 26 districts of Gujarat, the remaining seats of Karnataka, 11 seats in Maharashtra, 10 seats in the Uttar Pradesh, nine seats in Madhya Pradesh, seven seats in Chhattisgarh, five seats in Bihar, four seats in the ‘Assam and Western Bengal, five seats in Bihar, four seats in Assam and Western Bengal, five seats in Bihar, four seats in Assam and West Bengal, Bengal, five seats in Bihar, four seats in the ‘Assam and the West Bengal, Bengal, five seats in Bihar, four seats in Assam and western west Bengal, Bengal, two seats in Goa, and a seat each in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu will go to the Voting. In Gujarat, the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party has already won the SEAT Lok Sabha seat because its candidate was elected without opposition.
At the end of Tuesday, more than 280 constituencies will have concluded the vote. The 263 Lok Sabha seats will go to the ballot box in the rest of the four phases.
Voters will decide the fate of 1,351 candidates in the fray in the third phase. Here are the main battles that will be closely monitored.
Gujarat Gandhinagar
The Minister of the Interior of the Union, Amit Shah, requests a re -election of the district of Gandhinagar, a bastion of the BJP since 1989.
The headquarters were represented by major BJP leaders such as Lal Krishna Advani and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Advani, who won the siege six times, moved away from electoral policy in 2019, giving way to Shah. The 59 -year -old man won the headquarters of Gandhinagar by more than 5.55 Lakh votes against the CJ of Congress Chavda.
This time, the Congress aligned Sonal Patel, 62, against Shah.
Maharashtra baramati

The Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraitha Scindia is in the fray of Guna. He was a deputy for the Congress of the district from 2002 to 2019.
In 2019, he lost his family bastion from Guna to the BJP candidate, Krishna Pal Singh, by a margin of 1,2549 votes.
Scindia went to the Safran party in 2020. This time, he is against the Rao Yadvendra Singh Yadav of the Congress.
Uttar Pradesh
Dimple Yadav is arguing to keep the headquarters MainPuri Lok Sabha. His late stepfather and the Patriarch of the Samajwadi party (SP) Mulayam Singh Yadav won the parliamentary district in 1996, 2009, 2014 and 2019.
The headquarters of MainPuri fell vacant after the death of the former UP chief minister in 2022, requiring a bridging. Dimple won the partial part, beating Raghuraj Singh Shakya from the BJP by 2,88,461 votes.

Vidisha from Madhya Pradesh
The former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan locks the horns of the Pratap Bhanu Sharma of the Congress in Vidisha.
After being refused the CM post by the BJP, Chouhan fights Lok Sabha’s polls for the Safran party from its original Vidisha lawn.
Affectionately known as’Mom‘, Chouhan was the MP CM for 20 years, guaranteeing the party’s victory during the assembly elections in 2023.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha Ramak Sabha surveys, Ramakant Bhargava won Vidisha with a margin of 5,47,754 votes against Shailendra Rameshchandra Patel of Congress.

Assam Dhubri
