The Biden DEI avalanche keeps rolling — vote him out before it buries us all

As the war in Ukraine rages, China’s power grows, and Israel fights for its life against Hamas, U.S. intelligence is focused on what’s happening. . . I woke up gibberish.

Yes: a recent memo released under the auspices of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence reminds our future James Bonds “the importance of words” and sings the praises of (for example) a “new linguistic framework and guidelines for how we talk about the People’s Republic of China.”

And features cross-dressing as a tool to become a better spy – with a really, really intelligence officer explaining that wearing dresses and high heels helped him in his professional life.

Laugh, cry, or both: it’s the direct result of the White House embracing DEI at the expense of doing Uncle Sam’s job.

Every minute of work spent on nonsense like this, conducted to appease the progressive consulting class and its academic masters, is a minute taken away from the actual pursuit and defense of the national interest of the United States.

HAS less. This might just be a minute spent making it harder for the rest of the federal workforce – and the military! – to do their job.

The rot in DEI is now deep and widespread throughout the executive branch.

On his first day in office, President Biden signed Executive Order 13985, requiring an “ambitious whole-of-government equity agenda.”

Since then, it’s been an avalanche.

Consider the head of DEI at the State Department, Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley.

She is sitting in a lined with cork office down the hall from Secretary of State Antony Blinken, no doubt making sure he remembers to periodically reprimand the Foreign Service about pronoun use.

What about Bishop Garrison, senior advisor to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin?

He insists that DEI be part of each decision the military makes – it’s a “force multiplier,” you see.

It’s no wonder the armed forces are failing to meet their recruitment targets: what sane person would want to try to defend the nation in a service where absurdity literally reigns supreme?

Or the Executive Council of Diversity Officers, a federal task force that brings together law enforcement officials like Abercrombie-Winstanley to coordinate “the effort to integrate DEIA principles across the federal government.” . (The federal government adds an “A” for “accessibility,” sigh.)

By the way, the vice president of the board is Charlotte Burrows, who led the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to file a senseless lawsuit against a Cali moving company for failing to hire enough the elderly.

It is not clear that this mini-Politburo has won, at least for the moment.

Just look at what’s happening at the Justice Department, where DEI requirements are lowering hiring standards and crippling the FBI’s enforcement capabilities.

The tenets of DEI – the elevation of race and gender identity above merit, the endless blaming of all issues on phantasmagorical “white supremacy,” and especially the refusal to focus on issues of serious national concern – are deeply rooted in the Biden administration.

And the madness will get worse until the voters send Joe home to Delaware for good.
