The Biden camp is having a field day with Trump shaky on the podium

The Biden campaign gleefully turned one of Donald Trump’s favorite attacks on him on Saturday, calling the 78-year-old candidate woefully geriatric in response to his embarrassing stumble at a rally in Minnesota on Friday.

Video of the event shared by Biden-Harris HQ on X showed Trump grabbing the lectern during his remarks on stage, after nearly toppling the podium.

“A weak Trump nearly falls on stage after leaning too hard on his podium, then launching into an angry speech calling his event organizers ‘shitty,'” the caption read.

In the video, Trump dramatically leans over the side of the podium, steps out from behind it, then launches into a tirade about how bad the stage setup is.

“You know this is the worst platform, who set up this scene?” he improvised, cutting off his own remarks. “This damn place is falling apart. »

“I notice it continues to lean to the left,” Trump joked, “Like too many other things!”

The rest of his speech, however, took a much more sinister turn. Trump continued to push his stolen election lies about his 2020 presidential bid and appeared to encourage voter intimidation in the upcoming November election.

“I know we won (Minnesota) in 2020,” Trump insisted. “We have to be careful. We need to watch these votes.

Although both Trump and Biden suffered embarrassing gaffes that they each tried to portray as proof of the other’s senility, Trump’s campaign in a state he won twice would be supported by his advisers – and not just an exercise for his ego.

Trump’s inner circle believes he can flip the state, although Minnesota Democrats, and even some of his Republicans, think it’s an uphill battle.
