Murder

The really excellent science fiction shows are rare due to the costs of the sky for which many banners do not want to overflow. One of these streamers is not Apple TV +, home of some of the best science fiction shows on television right now, and she has simply added another to her list.
Murderbot, the new series featuring Alexander Skarsgard, Murderbot, but in a program, is very funny, unlike other offers in the genre. Here is the synopsis:
“In the future of high technology, a Royeou safety robot secretly wins free will; To stay hidden, he reluctantly joins a new mission protecting scientists on a dangerous planet even if he just wants excessive soap opera. ”
This is based on a series of large books entitled The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, something that I have been reading for a long time while new entries have been published from 2017 to 2023. A real change and a little controversial for the show gave the robot Alexander Skarsgard rather than doing it purely doing voice work, but that does not seem to be affected the quality of the series. Here are some of the first criticisms:
Murder
Rotten tomatoesHave you said 25-minute episodes? I am here. Murderbot will be released this Friday, May 16 with a first double episode episode, then broadcast ten episodes each week until it ends in mid-August. Given the massive quantity of source material here, there is no doubt that he has more than a season.
I remain tirelessly with the quality of emissions on Apple TV +, in particular its science fiction offers like Severance, Foundation, for all humanity, silo and now Murderbot, it seems. Subscribe if you didn’t do it. Not for Shill for a business of a dollar billion but believe me, it’s some of the best things on television right now.
Update (5/14): Welp, the spell was broken. A day later, Murderbot received his first negative criticism, overthrowing his perfect 100% at 96%. Always fantastic, of course, but I’m sure that a little disappointing for the team. Why is the review negative? It was from Steven Nguyen Scaife to Slant Magazine who marked it 2/4, technically negative on the Rotten Tomatoes scale where everything that is under 60% is rotten. Here is what he had to say about this:
“Murderbot very premise is therefore a major victim of his terribly bland visual sensitivity, all beige and brilliantly lit to a certain extent that does not make favors.
So this focuses on visuals, surprisingly, something that I have not seen many other criticisms mention. In a way, you need first-rate VFX to be taken seriously as a science fiction series, although it is less a blockbuster than most. However, I guess it’s something to watch while you look at yourself when it is broadcast this Friday.
