Wr Jayden Higgins, Iowa State
Round projection: second day, pro comparison: Michael Pittman Jr.
Higgins is a large possession receiver that can gain on breaks and disputed catches above the outside range. He can also use his speed for cleaner vertical victories as a large slit. The 6-4 and 214 pound receiver is his best faces of defenders on inclinations or to find weak points in zone covers. But it has trouble creating separation, especially on the vertical roads in isolation as an outdoor receiver / X. Higgins does not always play with its timed speed of 4.47 seconds, with incoherent versions out of the line to beat the media coverage. He will eat a cushion versus out of coverage for victories at the first two levels, and once again, he can stretch the seams / threaten on the posts like a large slit. In many ways, it is similar to Tet McMillan. It is not as dynamic after taking as McMillan, but Higgins is a version of the day of the day which wins in a similar way.
Edge mainly Umanmelen, Ole Miss
Round projection: top 50, pro comparison: Whitney Marculus
Speaking of dynamic speed rushers, Umanmelen is one of my guys. His first step challenges the edge on each representative and builds a speed while he enters his second and third steps to turn a tight corner with an excellent fence gust to finish the bags. The Dip-Rip rush of Umanmelen is a fundamental decision, and it will complete this with a bad movement of inner spin and a long arm. The performance of the Ole Miss product against Georgia last season had everything (two bags, six total pressures). Umanmelen looks like an excellent adjustment in the aggressive defense of Truebel as an end.
T / G Wyatt Milum, Virginie-Western
Round projection: second day, pro comparison: Peter Skoronski
The Patriots selected Campbell in the first round to fill their need in the left tackle, but if they really want to strengthen their offensive line, they could target Millum to play left guard. Millum is a university left tackle focused on power that will probably move inside to keep. Due to its 32 -inch arms, Millum has practiced inside the senior Bowl, where the teams see its future from the NFL. Millum has the playing force to generate movements on the blocks at the bottom and the double teams, athletics to pull and climb at the second level, and good upper body to remove the defenders from the gaps. As a pass protector, his fast strikes can end the representatives quickly, and he has a robust anchor to manage power. Millum’s skills are conducive to playing in a telephone booth. It projects itself well in the tackle pipeline which flourishes in the NFL and could be a day for a day for the patriots at the left guard.
Dt Darius Alexander, Toledo
Round projection: second day, pro comparison: keion white (dt)
Alexander is an explosive interior penetrator which corresponds to the aggressive state of mind that the patriots try to instill their defensive line. As a race defender, Toledo’s product is at its best on the edges of blockers in the rear field as an interior ram. Alexander has some essential movements in the rush to the passes which give him a beautiful base. The 24 -year -old has an effective long / bull arm rush and associates them with a well -timed swimming movement. Alexander is an older perspective that always refines his technique to reach his ceiling. His anchor / power is incoherent because of his fragile buffer level, and he will be taken to fight with the blockers rather than finding the ball. However, the Pats want defenders who correspond to a field program, and Alexander has the features to thrive in a defense of Truebel.
Wr Kyle Williams, Washington State
Round projection: second day, pro comparison: Rashod Bateman
There is a lot of late buzz on the Washington State Wideout, one of the best project separators. Williams consists more in creating a separation than performing precise routes, but his mixture of speed (4.4 s) and suddenly allows him to gain in several ways. He has an excellent exit package to stack the press corners outside, because his band is strewn with goals of Go finished in isolation. It can also set up defenders for the route breaks on the absent and has a lot of burst after taking to transform themselves under targets in large gains. Williams must reduce the drift of its horizontal breaks and is an older perspective (23 -year -old recruit). But it is among the best pure separators in this year’s recipient class.
