The Australian WWE superstar, Grayson Waller, has made a massive scan at AFL fans, declaring that he has no interest in “a game of participation” and only looks at the “real sport”.
The 34 -year -old wrestling provocateur, known for his blunt comment and his impetuous confidence, was back in Australia this week to help announce the major WWE in Perth later this year.
But it was his opinions on football of the Australian rules that caused the greatest dating.
“No, I’m watching Real Sport … I’m a Roosters fan (Sydney),” said Waller, News Corp during his media tours.
“You know, the thing with AFL, it’s like 47 guys who had a bullet for a few hours.
Waller did not hold back, making fun of the AFL notation system and comparing it to a children’s game.

“It’s a sport where if you are missing, they go”, oh, you have tried, we will give you a point. You tried very hard.
“Can you imagine this in another sport?” You fail. You do the bad thing. You are not good enough to do it. And they are like, oh, let’s go. Here’s a point to try.
He compared the system to the participation ribbons of the primary school.
“This is what AFL is. It’s like a game of participation.

Her husband is a fan of Carlton Mad but Ripley admitted that she was still going for her hometown Port Adelaide
This is not the first time that Waller has stimulated the backlash on a return trip – he has already clashed live with sunrise hosts.
But while he may have alienated AFL supporters, his colleague Australian wrestler Rhea Ripley embraced the national rivalry.
WWE women’s champion, born in Adélaïde, took the opportunity to coordinate her husband, Buddy Matthews, the AEW star, after her native city shells beat her beloved Carlton.
“He was like, well, if they beat the crows, then they must be your team. I’m like, you don’t want to make this bet. And then they lost, ”she laughs.
“So it made me a little happy, but it certainly didn’t make him happy … He woke up with a nice little score text in the morning.”
Ripley and Matthews were married in 2024 and remain one of the couples of power of struggle, despite the work in rival promotions.
The two will return to Perth in October as part of the series of massive WWE events, notably Raw, Smackdown and Crown Jewel: Perth.
Their latest event at the Optus stadium has attracted more than 50,000 fans, marking him as the largest Australian WWE in history.
Waller, despite his leash the Wrestlemania 41 card, says he is more motivated than ever.
“You have to look at things better,” he told Wide World of Sports.
“Watching Rhea in this incredible match at Triple Menace was motivating … I want to go back.
Waller hopes for a dream confrontation with John Cena during the tour of Perth.
“I think I held mine (on the microphone) and I was not a little afraid of John Cena,” he said.
“There is no bigger name in the industry … It would be an excellent opportunity.”
