- McEvoy and his wife announce pregnancy
- Couple had a whirlwind 12 months
The Australian Olympic gold medalist Cam Mcevoy and his wife, Madeline, shared the comforting news that they are waiting for their first child together.
The announcement comes only a few months after McEvoy surprised the world of swimming by revealing that he had fled with his long -term partner.
McEvoy, who released gold in the free male 50m of the Paris Games, went to social networks to share the happy news – but also expressed his concerns about the effect that pregnancy could have on the future mother.
“Who would have thought that 2025 would be better than 2024 with two becoming 3 in McEvoy’s house because we soon welcome our little boy!” McEvoy wrote.
“Spending the last months with Maddi has been a roller coaster of excitement, uncertainty and fear.
“ Watching her go through the physical and emotional taxes of pregnancy so far, while carrying additional fear of how pregnancy can affect her own health with her heart is nothing less than looking at the extent of the human mind to fight and give life in action.

Then, in a turn of fairy tale, he won his first individual title in 2023. Now he entered Olympic folklore and created the history of Australian sport.
The 30 -year -old, the first Australian swimming at four Olympic games, triumphed in 21.25 seconds in the dashboard at a time.
After winning, he was asked about Girlfriend Madeline on live television.
“Love is endless … it’s infinite,” said McEvoy.
