The Australian broadcaster and former LNR Matty Johns star revealed that he had been struck by a football club for a potential career change.
The former Newcastle and Cronulla star, 53, will see his lucrative contract with Fox Sports end later this season and there is no word yet to know if he will extend this agreement with the television channel.
But rumors have circulated in recent months that Johns may have been operated by an LNR club for a potential return to training.
During an interview with the Daily Telegraph, the former player of New South Wales and Australia was not free to reveal the club which had contacted him but told Phil Rothfield that they had been in contact to assess his interest.
“I had a little approach to a third party acting for a club that asked me if there was an interest and I would consider it,” he told Daily Telegraph.

Johns had recently been linked to the vacant publication of South New Wales after Michael Maguire jumped a ship to join the Brisbane Broncos at the start of the season, with Laurie Daley being then confirmed as her successor.
