Antioch – A 33 -year -old man died last month in Antioch after leaving his bicycle, came across the road and was struck by a motorist who passes, according to the authorities.
The collision occurred around 8:10 am on April 19 on Lone Tree Way, just south of James Donlon Boulevard, said Lieutenant de Police d’Antoch, Lieutenant Joe Njoroge in a press release.
The man was taken to a hospital in the region, where he died later. It was not publicly identified on Wednesday.
Njoroge said that the driver of the vehicle had stopped on the scene and had cooperated with officers.
The traffic service unit is investigating the collision.
“Currently, drugs and alcohol do not seem to be contributory factors,” said Njoroge.
