Anaheim – Red Hot, even if he was not ready to admit it, Logan O’Hoppe puts an accusation in the Angels offensive which begins to make its way through opponents.
O’Hoppe extended his sequence of home series with four consecutive games and helped the angels to a 6-2 victory against the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday with his offers from behind and along the plate.
As a receiver, O’Hoppe helped pitch staff to exceed a team of the playoffs last season while obtaining a handful on Jose Ramirez from the Guardians, who struck three circuits during the opening of the series, but went 0 for three walks in the last two games.
It remains early, but the angels won each of the three series they played in a feat that did not happen for the club since 2018, when he came out in the first five series.
With a 6-3 file, the Angels also equaled the franchise record for most of the victories during the first nine games of one season. This is the 14th time that the club will open a 6-3 season, with the latest arrival in 2021.
After their difficulties compared to 2024, angels exceed expectations, but O’Hoppe suggests that there is more in the tank, at least personally. After hitting a Home Run in his third consecutive match on Saturday, the everyday receiver for the second consecutive season said that his swing was still work in progress.
“I work just on it every day,” said O’Hoppe. “I don’t feel like things are going well or badly. I feel very neutral, and I will appreciate it, sleep and go to work tomorrow. ”
This tomorrow was Sunday and his swing looks better than neutral now. Even the figures say it. O’Hoppe has become the first receiver in the history of the franchise to strike a home run in four consecutive games.
On the mound, the left -hander, Tyler Anderson, delivered five solid rounds, working in a large jam in his last frame. In 2-2 equality, Anderson loaded the basics on a walk, a successful striker and an intentional walk towards Ramirez. He escaped the disorder by removing Carlos Santana on a 3-2 change.
The Guardians took an advance of 1-0 during the first round on a sacrificial fly by Lane Thomas. O’Hoppe equaled the scoring on his home run in the second round, his fifth of the season, and Tim Anderson made 2-1 five strikers later on a simple RBI.
The Guardians equaled it during the fourth round at the Kyle Manzardo circuit just inside the pole due to the right field off Anderson.
The angels took the lead for good during a solo home run from Jorge Soler in sixth round, his second in two nights. A pair of insurance races occurred the seventh when Luis Rengifo and Soer hit the flies of sacrifices.
Kyren Paris made an advance of 6-2 for the angels with a home run to deep center in the eighth, his second. The Angels hit seven circuits in the last two games after reaching six in their first seven games.
After obtaining several rounds of three readers during the two previous games, a reset Angels of the Angels was fresh and efficient. On Friday, Ryan Zeferjahn came back from the waterproofing of the hamstrings to present a sixth round, while Ben Joyce delivered 1⅓ sleeves.
Kenley Jansen has launched a ninth round without a goal in a non-economic situation. His removal of Gabriel Arias was his 125th as a lifter, binding Lee Smith for the fifth more of all time.
