Bruce Glover, a character actor who played the assassin M. Wint in “Diamonds Are Forever” and appeared in dozens of television programs, died on March 12. His son, actor Crispin Glover, confirmed the actor’s death on Instagram but did not give more details.
Among the other appearances of Glover’s film, there was also Duffy in “Chinatown”, “Walking Tall” and “Hard Times”.
Born in Chicago, Bruce Glover played in the theater and started on television in shows such as “My Favorite Martian”, “The Rat Patrol”, “The Mod Squad”, “Gunsmoke”, “Adam 12”, “Mission: Impossible”, “Police Story”, “Barney Miller” and “Chips”.
In 1971, “Diamonds Are Forever”, Glover portrayed the assassin Mr. Wint alongside Mr. Kidd of the musician Smith.
He spoke of working with the director of “Diamants Are Forever”, Guy Hamilton, in an interview with blog in 2019, recalling: “Everything you offer, if you have a good director, you can discuss with him what you want to do. As Guy Hamilton was widely open with every idea that I had and a lot of success of the humor of this film was me. This character his last sexual moment is the biggest laugh in the film.
After appearing as a member Grady Coker in “Walking Tall”, he continued in the “Walking Tall part 2” and “Walking Tall: Final Chapter” suites. He continued to appear on television in shows such as “Hart to Hart” and “Murder, she wrote”.
Later in his career, Glover appeared in “Night of the Scarecrow”, “Die Hard Dracula” and played Feldman, the guy of the wheelchair in “Ghost World”.
Glover also taught in Los Angeles for many years.
In addition to Crispin Glover, he is survived by another son, Michael Leigh Glover.
