Miriam Haley, the former production assistant “Project Runway” who accused Harvey Weinstein of having forced him in oral sex, burst out the test on the sexual abuse of the Hollywood magnate on Friday after an intense interrogation of a defense lawyer.
Defense lawyer Jennifer Bonjean Grid Haley, 48, on her claims that Weinstein has made the oral sex on her in her Soho home in 2006. Earlier this week, Haley testified that Weinstein “seized” her and “pushed” her with her body during the 2006 assault. Weinstein made him stay there as he strengthened oral sex on her forcibly.
Bonjean asked Haley about what she was wearing during the incident and if she removed her clothes, or Weinstein withdrew them.
“He removed my clothes … I did not remove my clothes,” said Haley. “It was he who raped me, not in the other direction.”
“It’s up to the jury to decide,” replied Bonjean.
“No, it’s not for the jury to decide,” said Haley starting to cry. “This is my experience. And he did that to me. ”
“Don’t tell me that I was not raped by this F ****** a ******,” added Haley, before asking for a break.
Judge Curtis Farber authorized the court to take a 10 -minute break, after which Haley came out of the courtroom. She almost entered the defense table where Weinstein was seated during her release, according to the New York Post.
The court resumed shortly after, and Haley continued to answer Bonjean’s questions on the clothes she wore and how they came out.
“I didn’t remove my clothes,” said Haley. “I was on my rules … I didn’t remove my clothes.”
Haley previously testified to a separate incident, in which she says that Weinstein raped her in a Tribeca hotel.
Haley testified for the first time against Weinstein in 2020 during his first trial on sexual abuse in New York. Weinstein, now 73, was found guilty of having violated and assaulted two women, including Haley. His conviction was canceled last year, but he remains guilty of rape in California.
Weinstein faces several accusations in his new trial, notably a charge in a criminal sexual act in the context of Haley’s allegations. He was also accused of the third degree rape of actress Jessica Mann in 2013. A new assault accusation was also added to her record, in connection with the allegations of the former model Kaja Sokola.
Weinstein denied all the charges against him.
Weinstein was once one of the most well connected and powerful producers in Hollywood. More than 80 women have accused him of abuse of groping to rape.
