Brock Purdy officially signed its five -year contract extension during the 2030 season, the team announced on Tuesday.
“Brock is a formidable leader and a fantastic representative for the organization of the 49ers, and we are delighted to conclude this agreement,” said Director General John Lynch in a press release. “When we took him with the latest choice of the draft, we knew that he had the potential to succeed in this league, but we did not know how much he would become a player’s special. He played at an exceptionally high level since his care of the starting work, and we look forward to seeing him continue this team for years.”
Purdy, 25, was the last choice of the 2022 draft, but won the starting station at the end of his recruit season after injuries at Trey Lance and Jimmy Groppolo. He did not abandon the position, spending 23-13 as a three-seasons starter with a record of 4-2 in the playoffs.
Purdy Ha completed 67.5% of his passes for 9,518 yards with 64 affected, 27 interceptions and a 104.9 passer note.
