The Sky Bet campaign “ Ever Minute Matters ” culminated at the home of English football Monday after 28 days of walking, racing and cycling almost non -stop.
The single relay – which covered an incredible 4,000 km over 28 days – spoke to unite the football community behind the vital mission to save more lives by equipping fans of confidence football and skills to make a RCR living life.
Supported by a crowd of bigger names in football – including Glenn Hoddle, “ Big ” Sam Allardyce and Graeme Souness – The relay touched a sensitive rope with football fans through the country stimulating 24 230 to start learning RCR in just four weeks.

The survivor of the cardiac arrest and the captain of Luton Town, Tom Lockyer, who played an essential role in the campaign, said: `It was a roller coaster and an incredible effort of many former players, fans and employees of CLD EF EFL.
“My message to them and all the fans who abandoned only 15 minutes of their time to learn the RCR is, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
“They say football is a business company. Well, that’s about the best result I could have hoped for.
“In just four weeks, we saw thousands of fans abandon their time to learn the RCR. I supported this campaign at each stage and what has been done in the past year is simply remarkable. It is a real testimony to the power of football.
The former legendary player and manager of Liverpool, Graeme Souness, who participated in the last stage of the QPR relay form in Wembley on Monday, said that it was a really humiliating experience to be part of this campaign.
“What Sky Bet relay has shown once again is that football can bring people together in a way that few things in life can,” he said.
“We called on football fans to give only 15 minutes of their time and they answered us by the thousands and for that, I will be eternally grateful because the RCR is a vital competence that saves lives.”

The EMM campaign has encouraged more than 288,000 people to learn RCR since last year
The highlight of the relay occurs almost a year after Sky Bet has teamed up with the British Heart Foundation to launch “Every Minute Matters” in order to encourage 270,000 incredible to start learning RCR by the end of the 2024-2025 football season – equivalent to three stages of Wembley. Sky Bet has promised separately 3 million pounds sterling to finance the vital work of the British Heart Foundation.
And with a month to go at the end of the season, the British Heart Foundation confirmed today that the campaign had encouraged 288,885 people to use the online revivr tool of the charity and to start learning the vital competence of the RCR.
After breaking the original goal of 270,000, the question campaign of every minute of one year, aims to a revised objective of 360,000 people committing to learning the RCR at the end of the final of the Sky Bet League Two on Monday, May 26.
The actor and fan of Leeds United for life, Maisie Adams, who participated in the last stage of the relay, spoke of the importance of the campaign.
“ It was an incredible 24 hours-it is difficult to say what I am more frightened by the fact that Leeds United was promoted or knowing that I played a small role in something that is frankly more important than football, she said. “Something that can save lives.
“After breaking the original lens, we have a last job to do and it ensures that we reach this perfect number and no, I’m not talking about leeds at 100 points – although it would be good – I’m talking about 360,000 people to start learning RCR.”

Each month, more than 2,500 people have a cardiac arrest outside hospital in the United Kingdom and tragically less than one in 10 survive, often because those around them do not have the necessary confidence to make the RCR. Every passing minute reduces the chances of survival up to 10%.
