The Lone Star State will be well represented in the Women’s College World Series championship this year.
Texas n ° 6 fell the Tennessee n ° 7 to go to the final on Monday before the end of the n ° 12 Texas Tech, the N ° 2 championship sequence of Oklahoma to move on.
This year’s match will show off two teams of the same state for the first time in 21 years.
Here is an overview of the championship series calendar.

Although Oklahoma has entered the Women’s College World Series on the momentum of four consecutive championships, this year’s Sooners team had a lot of faults and Texas Tech exhibited them.
Sam Landry had a decent day on the mound for Oklahoma, only abandoning three points, but Texas Tech was even better in defense. Nijaree Canady granted five strokes and a walk while picking up eight stick withdraws during the day. Canady, who has an MPM of 0.86 this year, allowed Oklahoma to link things with a two -round circuit in seventh round, but prevented the Sooners from taking the lead.
This has set up the Red Raiders offensive to win it at the end of the seventh when Lauren Allred struck a sacrificial fly that led to the winning sleeve.
After winning victory over a university softball, Texas Tech will now have the chance to withdraw his rival in the state.
Texas exceeded Tennessee n ° 7 after the Lady Flights survived an extra-insult thriller against the UCLA. The Longhorns offensive was far from her best Monday because she only recorded five strokes and two points, but it was enough to go to a second series of consecutive championships.
The Red Raiders and Longhorns both had exceptional seasons, but they played two completely different games to find success. Texas Tech is a team with a defensive spirit, publishing the best team era in the country and collecting the most laundering in softball this year.
Texas, meanwhile, lives and dies on the plate. Longhorns have the second best average of the stick in university softball, the fourth RBI and collected 90 circuits for the 60 of Texas Tech.
Given the different approaches to the team, this should make an interesting series of championships.
