Texas mom and daughter duo busted for nationwide illegal butt injection operation

A mother-daughter duo from Texas has been arrested for allegedly conducting an illegal buttock injection operation nationwide.

The two men — identified as Consuelo Dal Bo, 56, and Isabella Dal Bo, 18 — were arrested Wednesday during a sting operation by an undercover police officer in Houston, according to ABC 13.

The two women thought they were meeting a client who they had charged $6,000 for the illegal procedure. They had just returned from California, where they also carried out their illicit activities.

The mother and daughter planned to inject the undercover officer with an unlabeled brown liquid, according to court documents obtained by Fox 26.

In an apparent effort to calm the officer down before the intervention, the mother – a licensed cosmetologist in Texas – also allegedly offered the officer a Xanax.

Officers then descended on the scene and recovered bottles of illegal injectables and medical equipment from their bags at the scene, reports Click2Houston.

They then reportedly said they were “not even sure what was in the bottles.”

The sting operation was orchestrated by the Houston Police Department’s major offender division, the Food and Drug Administration and Homeland Security.

The mother and daughter are now charged with illegal practice of medicine, and the mother faces an additional drug charge.

They were released on bail and are expected to appear in court on April 10, according to Click2Houston.

The FDA has warned for years against the use of injectable dermal fillers for body contouring, saying it could lead to long-term pain, infections, serious injury, and even death.

“Injectable silicone oil (breaks down) into smaller particles throughout the body, possibly causing permanent damage and life-threatening complications such as stroke, embolism and even death,” Lisa Vasquez, nurse certified aesthetic practitioner at Pearlman Aesthetic Surgery in New York, told USA Today.

She added that reversing an injection is difficult, even for the most skilled plastic surgeons.

“Removal will require a direct incision or ultrasound-guided VASER-assisted liposuction, (which) removes the injected silicone, siliconomas and scar tissue. But nothing can dissolve liquid silicone.

Any granulomas, or clumps of white blood cells and other tissue, should also be “surgically excised,” Vasquez added.

The FDA also said that silicone stays in the body forever because the material does not break down.
