‘Texas Chainsaw’ star Bill Moseley hit by cyclist in hit-and-run and hospitalized

Bill Mosley – known for “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” franchise – had his own scare last week after being hit by a cyclist… who apparently took off.

The actor’s rep tells TMZ… it all happened Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina, where the horror icon was scheduled to attend the Carolina Fear Fest… but shortly before At the start of the event, he was hit from behind during an afternoon walk. , leaving him with 4 fractured ribs and a fractured pelvis.

We were told that Bill was walking behind his hotel along a double pedestrian and cycle path and that a guy came running into the lane and charged at him from behind… at a speed that we were told ‘said, was about 30 MPH. Rather than stop to help, Bill’s rep says this man ran away… fleeing the scene.

As a result, Bill writhed in pain…and we’re told help was eventually called for him…and he was transported to a trauma hospital, where he underwent several CT scans.

Bottom line… Bill suffered multiple pelvic and rib fractures – something he himself noted on IG, posting a few photos of himself in a hospital gown, and ultimately being transported in a wheelchair. Even though what happened to him was serious… he keeps his spirits up.

As for the biker who got back on his bike and took off, Moseley – who also starred in 2007’s “Halloween” – threw in a reference to a horror character, saying… “And then I thought Jason gave a punch !”

Bill has since been released from hospital and has a 6-week rehabilitation stay ahead of him, and doctors have ordered him to avoid putting weight on his left leg at all costs.

The people behind Carolina Fear Fest also confirmed that Bill expected a full recovery and announced that anyone who purchased a photo session with Bill would receive an immediate refund.

Bill is undoubtedly loved and respected in the horror community. In addition to starring in the sequel to “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” in 1986, he also appeared in “Texas Chainsaw 3D” in 2013 as Drayton Sawyer.

It is also a must in Rob Zombie‘s “Firefly” trilogy, among countless other horror projects, cementing his status as an icon of the genre.



No police report has been filed on this, BTW…we’re told Bill is simply focused on his recovery.
