Tesla repels the promised launch of a more affordable electric vehicle per month, according to a Reuters report. The new model, which is supposed to be a very stripped model, was supposed to make its debut in the first half of this year, but could now not arrive before 2025 or at the beginning of 2026, the report indicates.
All this comes as Tesla sales fall into many regions of the world thanks to a combination of an aging range of vehicles, Musk’s far right policy in the American government and the sub-performance of Cybertruck.
The CEO, Elon Musk, first teased the idea of making $ 25,000 Tesla during the company’s “Battery Day” event in 2020. Tesla developed a new platform that would be 50% cheaper to build, which he planned to use to feed this new model, often conference the “model 2”, as well as the mythical robotaxi of the company.
But Musk finally killed the idea of building a car leading to the new platform. Instead, he would have pivoted Tesla towards the development of versions at a lower cost of the Y model Y and the model 3 sedan.
